Trapani, located on the extreme western tip of Sicily, is a city rich in charm, history and culture, yet among Sicilian destinations it is perhaps the least known.
Surely Trapani is not a city that strikes you at first glance, it is rather one of those cities that should be discovered calmly, without rushing.
The historic center of Trapani is a succession of ancient alleys, reminiscent of the times of the Arab conquest, on stone-paved streets overlooking beautiful churches and lavish palaces that take you back to the golden age of Sicilian Baroque.
Trapani inebriates you with its scent of the sea, which you can breathe in the alleys, that same sea that almost seems to embrace you, there are, in fact, several points of the city, where wherever you look you see the sea.
It is no coincidence that Trapani is known precisely as the "city of the two seas", it stands, in fact, on a strip of land, bathed on one side by the Sicilian Channel, which here is simply called the Mediterranean Sea, and on the other by the Ionian Sea.
